In honor of my nineteenth birthday, I decided to come up with nineteen things most people don’t know about me. I hope you enjoy reading and learning some pretty weird and random facts about me.
1. I absolutely hate staying home alone, I’m a giant wimp. I would rather sit through a boring meeting with one of my parents than stay home alone, especially in the evening. You’ll never catch me home alone for an entire night.
2. I hate talking on the phone for more than five minutes. I’d rather FaceTime or just meet in person. When I am talking on the phone, I’m pacing around.
3. Hand written notes are my love language. I love giving and receiving hand written notes and letters. This past year at school I taped every note I got to the wall behind my desk because they’re just the best.
4. My favorite color is yellow. It’s the color for optimism, friendliness, confidence, laughter, and creativity. I like that you can find it a lot in nature with flowers and the sun. Yellow is also often used for small details like a front door to a home and it’s beautiful.
5. Mega Peanut M&Ms are by far, my favorite candy and I’m most definitely addicted.
6. I am majoring in Exercise Science with hopes to pursue Cardiac Rehabilitation, specifically at a children’s or veteran’s hospital.
7. I was a summer intern for my district’s congressman, Congressman Andy Harris.
8. I got to sit in on a Supreme Court hearing and then meet Chief Justice Roberts in his chambers afterward and get a VIP tour, along with sitting on the couch that John Quincy Adams died on. That was one of the best days of my life.
9. I completely despise ketchup. Love tomatoes but don’t put ketchup on my food because I’ll probably hurt you. I’ve also never understood why people put it on eggs or their macaroni and cheese? EW.
10. I can multitask like nobody’s business. My college friends witnessed me listening to music, singing along to it, and typing a paper all at once. I also killed that paper, by the way.
11. I love doing laundry. Only my own laundry though, sorry to my siblings, you can do it yourself. I’ll help friends at school fold their laundry or do it for them if they’re in a rush but I don’t want to touch other people’s dirty laundry. We had “folding parties” in each other’s rooms where we would dump our clothes on the rug and fold them while we watched something on Netflix or listened to music.
12. I don’t watch a lot of TV unless I find a show I really love, right now it’s Nashville. Don’t ask me if I’ve seen a certain commercial because I don’t watch enough TV for that. Hulu for the win!!
13. I like to learn how to do new things. Anything from fly fishing to a new recipe, sign me up! I might not be the best but I like to learn.
14. In 6th grade I won my class’ spelling bee but I didn’t want to compete further than that because I was terrified of public speaking so I passed that on to someone else. (Not sure my parents even knew that one, probably because they would have made me go).
15. I have a crazy good memory. I remember names really well, as well as what people were wearing on a specific day. I color code my notes so when I’m taking a test I can remember what color the notes on a specific topic were in and it helps me determine where it was on my page of notes and then I typically remember the answer.
16. I am a total Grammar Nazi. I always pick up on grammar mistakes. Please use the right you’re, your, their, there, and they’re. It’s a real pet peeve.
17. I’ve played lots of sports and participated in many other activities like soccer, swimming, softball, dancing, cheerleading, horseback riding, and musicals and other plays. I played the flute and the piano as well when I was younger.
18. My favorite movie is probably Mama Mia but Tangled is a very close second.
19. I can do pretty great impressions of other people. Actually, most of my family members have this talent.
“She is clothed with strength and dignity and laughs without fear of the future” (Proverbs 31:25 NLT)

Spelling bee.....WHAT?! You are correct, we would have made you go. Happy Birthday! Your Dad, brothers and I love you!
